Instructions without an antenna extender cable:

1. Install the antenna to the SkyCentrics EcoPort Cellular Communication Module 
   1. Remove the small black cap on the side of the EcoPort
   2. Screw the antenna into place on the side of the EcoPort 
2. Check the cellular signal strength in the EcoPort Install app (download from Google Play or App Store)
   1. Orient the antenna depending on how the EcoPort is installed onto the appliance
      1. Orient the antenna pointing up if mounted atop the appliances, OR
      2. Orient the antenna at a 45 degree angle away from the surface of the appliance if mounted on the side of the appliance. 
   2. Plug the EcoPort into the appliance (turn the appliance power on if necessary)
   3. Wait fo the status LED to turn blue on the EcoPort
   4. Check “RSRP” value on EcoPort Install app (the RSRP value is an indication of the signal strength) 
   5. If the RSRP value is a smaller negative number than -100 dBm (e.g., -95 dBm), then install is complete.
      

IF RSRP VALUE IS A LARGER NEGATIVE NUMBER THAN -100 dBm (e.g., -105 dBm) OR IF THE STATUS LED IS RED, PROCEED TO THE FOLLOWING STEPS.

3. Remove the EcoPort, and try the antenna in varying angles
4. Check the RSRP value in five (5) different antenna orientations
   1. Remember to power cycle each time, wait for the blue light and check the RSRP value on the EcoPort Install app
   2. If you ever see a red light, then try another antenna orientation, remembering to power cycle each time.
5. Pick the orientation with the greatest RSRP value and secure the antenna in that orientation, then install is complete

Note, if regardless of the antenna orientation, you always get a red light, then try another EcoPort.

3. Remove the EcoPort, remove the antenna, and reconnect the antenna with an extension cable.
4. Check the RSRP value in five (5) different antenna locations
   1. Remember to power cycle each time, wait for the blue light and check the RSRP value on the EcoPort Install app
   2. If you ever see a red light, then try another location, remembering to power cycle each time.
5. Pick the location with the greatest RSRP value and affix antenna in that location, then install is complete

Note, if regardless of the antenna location (with extension), you always get a red light, then try another EcoPort.
